Mother's Day and Kai's Graduation

How is it the end of May? Summer starts in two days at this house! Man, this is crazy! Hard to believe a whole school year has passed. We are excited for summer though-we have lots of fun things planned!

Mother's Day was very special. Derek was supposed to work but surprised me with the day off. Hands down, best present EVER. :) The boys made me breakfast and had some of my favorite treats waiting for me after I got to sleep in! We went to church and had lots of play time together. Then, Kai and Grayson took me out for dinner that night. It was very busy so it was a long dinner and the boys did such a nice job. The table next to us even stopped by to compliment the boys. I was so proud of them! It was a special day with the family.

Kai had his graduation last Friday. They had caps and gown and looked ADORABLE! They "marched" in, sang several songs, had a presentation of diplomas and even had some interview questions. I recorded that part and it's the last thing attached. In case you can't hear, she asked them the following questions and here's what Kai said:

1. What do you want to be when you grow up? Not sure, just want to make a lot of money. (Ha!)
2. What will you miss the most about preschool? Table work time
3. What do you want to learn about in Kindergarten? Jesus
4. If you could have a super power, what would it be? To be super fast

There was a little reception after the ceremony. It was very nice and Kai loved the "attention". Now, if you try to get him to sing the songs again, good luck. He's a little shy about that. :) I have caught him singing them on his own every once in a while though. It was another special family day.

Enjoy the pics and thanks for reading!

Family pic! Leela's hair is pretty, right? She's pulled everything out by this point. :) She does score some points with her cute pink cowboy boots though!

Proud Mommy!
