Spring has been lots of fun for us....we've gone to Deanna Rose Farm, KC Zoo, the library, JumpingJax (bouncy-bouncy house according to Kai) and had lots of fun outside on walks and at the water table! Such great weather!
Grayson keeps getting bigger and bigger--he's already over 15 pounds!!! Think we might double our birth weight before six months...haha! Grayson's been cooing and talking like crazy! He loves to talk to his toy octopus that hangs from his play gym. He still seems to take a few short naps during the day,but he's ready for bed around 7:30ish and usually sleeps until 5 or 5:30! I'll take with the short naps during the day! :) We had to give him a haircut this week--I cut off about 1 1/2 inches above his ears and about the same in the back! I barely cut his bangs....just couldn't do it! Maybe the poor kid can hear now! :) There's a pic of him after his haircut....
Kai continues to improve with his speech--he's started to say a few two word sentences! He's so proud of himself... as are we! We still struggle with long vowels so that's our long term goal. He went to his first friend birthday party across the street and had lots of fun! That's where he got his "stylin" sunglasses you'll see in a pic later! :)We're starting to plan his 2nd birthday (Oh, my...he's growing up so fast!) Can you guess the theme!??!?! It's going to surprise you......GI Joe!!! :) Haha!
I go back to work for 3 days next week..then it's summer! Going to be a very bittersweet feeling--excited to see everyone...not excited about packing! I can't wait for my new "job" in the fall, but I'm sad to leave such a wonderful school, team and principal! I think it will be very wierd not going back in the fall!
