The Brown's Buzz: February 2013

Happy 1st Birthday to our little bubba! His farm party was a success and I think that everyone had a good time. His treats consisted of "farm fresh milk", cow tails (dipped pretzel rods), chicken feed (Chex Mix) and farm animal cupcakes. Grayson dug right into his cupcake without ANY hesitation.....he gobbled that up in no time! A little different experience than his brother's first cupcake. :) I had people write letters to Grayson for him to open on his 18th brithday. I missed getting some from a few though so I"ll have to get them to do it later! I also made a "barn" showcasing all of Grayson's monthly pics. It was neat to see how much he changed month to month. I knew he did, but when you see them all together it's crazy!
You probably already know that we had lots of snow here the past day and half so we've had snow days for the last 2 days. (Which is why I've had time to get on here!) It's been nice to get caught up on a few things around here too! We got out some new toys from Christmas so we've had some fun with those and Grayson's new toys from his birthday. Snow days mean PJ days around here which makes it even better! :) Grayson has been putting EVERY toy in his mouth so I think he might be getting a new tooth because that's not typical for him. We shall see what he gets next. Maybe he'll actually get some more of his front teeth versus molars like the last time! :) He's completely switched over to whole milk now and did pretty well transitioning. I still nurse one time a day, but I think that will be stopping pretty soon.
Kai' been going to a library storytime class on Fridays. It's only about 20-25 minutes and it's meant for 2 year olds. They listen to stories and sing songs. I got to go to one of the first classes and it was a relief to see that he acts like other 2 years olds--it seemed like wherever we went, he was the only one running around or not listening! He actually was well behaved and sat and listened better than some of the other kids. What a relief! :) They offer it again in April so I hope to get him enrolled again. I think it's good practice and expereince for him!
