Hard to believe that Leela is 4 months. We go to the doctor this week for her checkup so will be curious to see where she falls with weight and height. I can't figure this girl out these days!!! She was doing so well with sleeping....good naps and even went 4 nights sleeping for 13 hours without eating! Now she has decided that she doesn't need naps and wakes up a lot a night--not always to eat. She's been moving around more in her bed and kicking her feet on the side rails, so I'm not sure if that's the difference or what. Crazy girl!!!! I liked the sleeping routine better if she wants my opinion. I'll see what the doctor says. I've heard that sleep can be "off" and challenging around 4 months so maybe that's the trouble. She's still a happy little thing, so it can't be affecting her too much yet! :)
We had a fun Saturday. We went to Crown Center to see the Wizard of Oz children's "museum" display. They also had Dorothy, Tinman, Lion and Scarecrow characters that you could take a picture with. Grayson was SOOO excited! Both the boys wanted to dress up in their costumes from Grayson's party. They loved running around the museum playing and checking out things. We had to wait a little in line for pictures so while we waited, Derek took both the boys up front to check them out so they wouldn't be scared once we got there. I should have placed a bet because I knew that Kai would be timid and shy and Grayson would be so excited once it was actually our turn-would have won too. :) As soon as we got up there, Kai was covering his face and not talking and Grayson was jumping up and down right next to them! The characters were so excited to have some kids that dressed up too! (There was actually another little girl dressed up as Dorothy and her mom came over and asked if we would take a picture with her...it was cute-I'll post it!) Good times.
Kai is still very interested in learning his new letter each week and doing "school work". He doesn't know them all, but that's ok with me. As long as he's interested and trying, we'll keep going! We are still working on the writing. He's getting better with his grip. I keep having him work on his name. I would like him to be able to write it by the time he's starts school in the fall. I think we can do it!
Grayson's been in the process of getting his molars. They really seem to both him during the day and night. He wants his paci during the day sometimes and he really doesn't sleep too well. He's got two of them so far and I think he's starting to work on his third. Halfway there! :) His vocabulary impresses me every week. I don't think we are going to have speech concerns with him! ;)
The boys had an "indoor campout" with Derek last week for behaving in church. We set up a "tent" over Grayson's crib and Kai's sleeping bag. They read books with a flashlight and had a packed breakfast after the campout. They both loved it, but poor Grayson kept waking up during the night. I think he was confused and not sure what was going on. :) Derek was a good sport. I said I would do a sleepover with them during nap-I'm not brave enough for nighttime-ha!
Well, that's about all the excitement around here. Thanks for reading and enjoy the pics!
