8 Months!

Grayson's 8 months old today!!!! For some reason I got a little teary....time has gone by much faster with Grayson's baby days....how do I get time to slow down!?!???! :) He's starting to babble a little bit more that a few weeks ago so I find that encouraging...perhaps we won't have speech troubles with him! :) Grayson's FINALLY sleeping without crying/waking up from 7:30-4:30ish at night!!!! Yay! Now if I can just get him to sleep another hour, I'd be set...but I'll take this!!!!

We think we have solved Kai's "foot issue". Remember how he would be in serious pain in the evenings or wake up during the night saying his foot hurt? He even had it x-rayed and they found nothing??? Well, I knew we needed to get new shoes anyways so we had him measured again...yes his foot was bigger and WIDER! Poor thing is an 8 wide now...I think that's why his foot kept hurting...his little chunker foot couldn't fit in a regular shoe!!! :( Poor guy! He's been doing LOTS of walking around with his new shoes and hasn't complained once so I think we've got it. Yay! Oops Mommy moment!

Well, this time it's short and sweet...do I get bonus points since I managed to post again in the same month??? Haha! Here's a few Grayson's 8 month pics....sorry none of Kai. We are going to his church Halloween party this weekend so I'll try to get some before we go! :)

We've Got a Crawler!

Well, Grayson has officially been crawling for a week or so now. It's so cute to watch him do his "army crawl"...makes me tired though-he works so hard to pull all his weight! He keeps getting up on hands and knees like he's going to really crawl, but then he falls forward...not much longer I'm guessing! Grayson's been doing well with solids. He's now had sweet potatoes, pumpkin and peas. He's going to try apples tomorrow and then green beans next week. Grayson's getting better at feeding himself his banana cereal puffs too! We're hearing some change in his babble...sounds like he trying to make some consonant sounds! I've heard a little mamamama too. :) Grayson's doing better with sleeping...he seems like he's growing out of three naps a day to just two-one late morning and one mid-afternoon. He's usually ready for bed around 7:00 or 7:15 and has been sleeping until 5:00 or so-yay!

Kai seems to be getting himself in a little innocent trouble these days....except the day he threw a toy at Grayson's forhead....oops! He's been fighting a cold for the past week or so and I think he's finally feeling back to normal and needs to be "worn out" again! Thank goodness there's been such nice weather so he can run around a bit! Gotta love this stage...so curious about EVERYTHING..how it works, what it feels like, if it moves and so on and so on!!!!! We still work on our sounds...he's been getting a little lazy with some of his words so I'm trying to work on getting him to slow down because I'm finding out he can say more than he has been!!! Now some of his words actually sound how they should! :)

We're heading up to my old school (still wierd to say!!!) tomorrow evening for their annual "Fun Run". It's a fundraiser auction with a mile long "run/walk" in the neighborhood. I'm excited to see everyone and for them to see the boys. I think Kai will really enjoy it this year...we plan on staying in the back so we don't get trampled! :)
