Leela is 11 months!

Obviously things have been a little busy around here...my last post was in August!!??!?!? Yikes! We've been working so hard on getting our house painted....it's all done and we just have a few little things to finish up. YAY! So glad we don't have to worry about that for a long time! I'm ready to be able to take care of everything else we've let go while working on this project. It really looks good. When we finish it COMPLETELY, I will post a pic!
So, how is Leela almost a year??!!?!? She's taken some steps on her own so we are definitely moving towards walking....this is crazy! She has decided that she really, really doesn't like to have bows in her hair now. Doesn't make this Mom too happy! I'm not giving up...we will keep trying! She really needs something for her hair now as it's getting so long over her eyes. Oh, the trials of growing out hair! :) We tried weaning her off her acid reflux meds around 10 months, but she clearly still needs them. She went back to waking up 5 or 6 times at night. Now that she's back on them full time with the proper dose, she's getting more sleep. She's still being a stinker about naps, but I will deal with that if she will just sleep at night!
The boys are keeping us busy, like usual. Kai is still LOVING school and has been teaching all of us the songs. Grayson goes around singing them all day now too. Leela likes to sit and dance to them while they sing. It's cute. :) We're trying to do lots of playing outside because it won't be too long and we won't have that luxury. I was talking to one of the neighbors and we decided we need to have lot of activities planned to keep them "worn out" and the moms sane during the winter months!
Derek still hasn't started his new shift yet. They were supposed to start the end of September, but have been put on hold again. There's also been some issues with their paychecks-they've purposely not been paying them time and half right now. Needless to say, work is not a topic of choice in this household. Just wish they would decide if they want to keep the paramedics on 24 hours shifts or not. I think they all would like it to be settled. I really feel bad where both parents are working and they are trying to plan things accordingly. We are fortunate to not have that obstacle. As far as work for me, now that we are done painting, I will be putting myself back on the schedule for subbing. I'm excited. :)
Thanks for reading! Enjoy the pics!!!
