The Brown's Buzz: December 2013

So, it's been a while. Story of my life. I have had "work on blog" on my to do list for several weeks now. :) I have 10 minutes so let's see what I can get done! :) Life here is pretty crazy, but in a good way. The day flies by and I usually don't even know what I did all day except feed, change diapers and play with kids. I manage to get a few things done when Derek is home-so glad he's on this new schedule! While, we don't like to be away from him for so long, I think this schedule works better for our family because we are able to spend more time together and Derek is now more on "our schedule" as far as bedtimes and waking up. We are just so blessed. Leela just melts our hearts.
The boys are doing so well with their new little sister. Grayson has surprised us the most. He's really grown up! No more paci during the day...he only has them during naps! Yay! He's also chilled out with the mama's boy business and isn't so clingy to me! We were really worried about that once Leela would arrive, but it doesn't seem to bother him that there's another sibling around! :) Both boys are great at "taking care of Leela". They are really good at rocking her in her bouncy seat if she's crying! :) Kai loves to talk to Leela and it usually consists of telling her names of superheroes or showing her other toys.
We had Leela's 1 month appointment this week-oh my, how is that possible?!?) She weighs a whopping 10 pounds 11 ounces! So, basically she's gained a little more than 2 1/2 pounds since birth! Wow! Go girl! She's already grown 2 inches in length too. She's quite the snuggle bug and loves to be all bundled up and warm. She's doing pretty well sleeping at night...sometimes she will go 5 or 6 hours in between her first evening feeding and the next so I manage to get a little more sleep if everything works out with the boys and bedtimes. It's amazing how your body just survives on what sleep you get...I keep thinking I'm going to crash one day, but so far I'm still going strong!
