Kai had a great first Christmas! He was a very spoiled little boy and had lots of fun "opening" presents. He really would have been just fine with a little tissue paper and wrapping paper...he wanted to eat it! We had a fun time celebrating with both sides of the family and he kept everyone entertained in his Santa suit! :)
We've started eating veggies. We started with sweet potato and I don't think he knows what to think about it--he made some pretty silly faces! He's been eating more and more each day so that's certainly encouraging! I think we will try avocado next week. He just has no idea all the delicious foods that are out there! :)
We've started transitioning him from taking naps in his bouncer to the crib. He's done surprisingly well and I think he's sleeping better since he can move around. It's certainly wierd to do things around the house and not have him down here though....he's been sleeping a little longer in the crib so I'm not complaining--I've been able to get a few things done!
Kai is SOOO close to crawling....it's fun to watch him attempt crawling while trying to grab those toys...any day now! We better get baby gates soon!
I go back to work on Monday. :( It's been a fun two weeks getting to be home all day with Kai. We have two days of meetings and then the kids come back on Wednesday so at least we ease our way back into it. I have to be there full time both Monday and Tuesday though--that's part of the deal with job sharing. So, I'll actually get to spend some time with my team!!!
Below are some pictures from December....The pictures of Kai in are overalls were Derek's when he was a baby! His aunt saved them and sent them to us this spring! Enjoy the pics and thanks for reading!
