Easter

Hard to believe that we're halfway through April. School will be out before we know it. Kai has his preschool graduation ceremony in a month! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that he will be a Kindergartener next year!!!

Speaking of, he has a Kindergarten meeting next week. The parents meet while the kids "play". If it's like what they did at my old school, it will be different kinds of assessment for the teachers to see who knows how to do what. Wish I could be in the room watching Kai! :) We still have not heard from the district yet. I had a dream last night that he was assigned to a different school--neither one on the list! Not sure what that means!

We took Leela to the GI yesterday. He said the medicine she's on does a good job of helping with acid reflux at night. We are keeping her on the same thing and he increased her dose and wants her to take it twice a day. He suggested that if we really want to make sure things are ok, they can scope her and look at the esophagus to see if there's damage in the tissue or cells. She would have to be put under for that though and we aren't ready for that option. Keeping that on the back burner. Just happy to have some answers and know what we are doing is ok. He also advised us to continue to stay away from acidic and fatty foods at dinner time. Leela's also been working on three of her "eye" teeth right now. I've seen them almost poking through for weeks now....wish they would hurry up!!! :) Then, maybe we can breathe for bit before the two year molars......this has been rough! Any time we've given her meds to help, she wakes up every 30 minutes. Derek has read that some meds irritate kids with acid reflux, so this would make sense. We've just been staying away from them since all she does it wake up more and there's no pain relief!

Grayson continues to keep us on our toes. He has a mohawk haircut and I think he turned into an even crazier kid after that! His hair has already grown so much that it's not as noticeable (thank goodness!). This mom's ready for a "normal" haircut, but as my neighbor put it, when else can you have that kind of a haircut and get away with it? True. :)

I've attached a few spring pics, including some from Easter! Enjoy! Thanks for reading!
