Leela's Birthday and the Christmas Tree!

I'm a little late getting some pics up of Leela's birthday....however, it was fun to look back at the pics while I was trying to decide which ones to post! :) We had a fun time at her "pink party". Grayson even wore a pink dress shirt in her honor! He called it his "party shirt". :)
This cold weather is no fun. We miss being able to play outside every day! Both the boys were sick a few weeks ago and Grayson got sick again before he was 100% from the first cold. He is still trying to recover! Leela has managed to catch a cold too while teething...makes for a fun time at night! I will say that she has made HUGE progress with her sleeping at night. She has had at least 5 nights where she has slept through the night before the cold and teething started!!!! She's been working on 3 molars for a while so sleep's been a little harder lately. I'm hoping that once the molars are in, we can go back to more nights sleeping for 10-12 hours straight!!!! She's completely weaned from nursing and I'm wondering if whole milk is helping with sleep too--she can have unlimited amounts! She normally drinks at least one sippy cup a day and sometimes almost 1 1/2 or 2! I have no idea how much she was getting beforehand. We're going to start working on not having milk before bed in a few weeks...she doesn't drink much now, but with her teething, we haven't even tried to skip that feeding yet. Soon!!!!! She's been doing so well! It's nice that Daddy can put her to bed at night now too!
Grayson's library storytime is over until January. We will try the one where he gets to stay on his own with the teacher and other children for about 25 minutes. We can't wait to see how he does with that! He's been into "writing" like Kai and wants to know how to spell words. He asks how to spell a word and then proceeds to say, "OK, thanks!" It's very cute! I've printed some winter "schoolwork" for him so he can do some work when Kai is at school. He loves it!
Kai has his preschool Christmas program this Friday. He's been working so hard practicing his songs. We can't wait to see it! We continue to be impressed with his academic and social progress from school. I've also noticed his imaginative play has really expanded too. He's doing so well and has really grown up since August! He talks about Kindergarten almost daily...he's so excited about it! Won't be too long and we need to get things settled with that. We have a few options we are considering. We need to really look at them and make a decision by January. Kindergarten roundup is usually end of January or beginning of February.
We've been doing some decorating for Christmas. The boys really had fun unpacking the ornaments and hanging them. Normally, I would go and fix all the ones they hung to spread them out, but this year I tried to hold back. I only fixed the ones that had five on one branch!!! :) Trying to let go of the little things.....slowly! ;)
Hope to get another post on here before Christmas........thanks for reading and enjoy the pics!
