Halloween!

It's been a busy and exciting past couple of weeks! Our biggest news is that we have another walker! Leela's been walking for about two weeks or so and is really getting good at it now! She's got two older brothers to keep up with--no time to waste! Church has been pretty challenging the last few weeks because she doesn't want to sit--she wants to be up and moving! We finally got some shoes after church last weekend because she wants down and around!

Halloween week was lots of fun. Kai's school party was on Wednesday. Siblings were invited and Grayson was SO excited! I was one of the parents in charge of the party so we arrived a little early to set up things. Grayson joined in the class like he had been going all along. He cracked me up at the party-he didn't even care to sit at the same table as Kai. He just followed the boys and did what they were doing like he was a little preschooler himself! I think Kai was a little sad he wasn't able to "show him around" as much as he had thought! We had early trick or treating at Grandpa and Grandma's one night and Papa and Nana's another night. Lots of candy and treats for all! On Halloween day we had fun at an indoor playsystems showroom with our neighbor friends to run off energy before trick or treating that night. It was basically a big room with lots of playsets that you can purchase for your backyard. They have certain days open to the "public" for kids to come play--the boys love it! It's great for wintertime play! It was super cold on Halloween night. The boys wore winter coats and gloves, but they still loved every minute of their trick or treating! Leela and I stayed here to pass out candy.

Derek had fun going to the World Series games. Sure wish it would have turned out differently, but what an experience he had. So happy he got the chance to go. The boys had fun watching the games on TV too. Derek made up this game with gummy bears for the boys. As they got hits and strikeouts, they moved them around the baseball diamond. Made watching the game more fun!

We went to the zoo thanks to Aunt Ashley and Uncle Kyle. It was an overcast day, but perfect because it wasn't too hot or cold. The boys had lots of fun looking for animals. They walked their legs off! (As did Mom and Dad!)

We got to watch Daxsyn for the afternoon a couple weeks ago. Just like old times, except with two more walkers! The boys were so excited to see him and play with him. Grayson just loved entertaining him. So much fun!

Hard to believe that Leela will be a year old in a couple days. I remember thinking she was never going to come last year! Suits her personality that she didn't come as predicted based on her brother's arrivals....seems to be the theme with her...she's been the opposite of her brothers on most things thus far! She's certainly been the princess around here! :)

Thanks for reading and I'll post pics from Leela's party soon!
