The Brown's Buzz: Our New Preschooler!

I can't believe the day arrived...we've been talking about school for so long and doing a countdown for the last month and the day finally arrived! Kai woke up early today because he was afraid he would be running late. Ha. So did Leela--she was up at 5:00. :)
Kai had SO much fun at school. He came home and told us he met two new friends, Cannon and Julian. He had fun at centers, recess, playing with the superhero toys (oh dear!) and singing new songs. He liked snack because they had "Despicable Me" crackers. :) He told us he didn't suck his thumb AT ALL! Yay! I had a conversation with his teacher about this last week so we are hoping that she will help us with this habit. :) I guess there is another boy that sucks his thumb in the class and apparently Kai went up and whispered "I'll chop your hand off!" to him. Oops, maybe Derek and Grayson shouldn't be telling him that at home to help him stop. Haha. Wish I could have seen the kid's face. We had a serious conversation about that with Kai---we both tried hard not to laugh too much. We don't need a parent teacher conference the first week of school. :)
Grayson liked the attention from Mommy and Daddy while Kai was gone. Not sure what he thinks. He kept asking where Kai was all morning. Leela took an extra long nap this morning (the luxury of being a baby and getting to sleep whenever you want, especially when you wake up at 5 am!) so it was like Grayson was an only child for half the morning!
Leela's been working on teeth #6 and #7. These have been a little rough--slight fever too! I'm ready to get more than a few hours of sleep. Hoping that happens in a few nights. I'm sure the next teeth will start coming in..she can't seem to catch a break! I don't know if I prefer her getting them all back to back for a little more spread out.
