The Brown's Buzz: Family Reunions!

Summer is going to be over before we know it! We've had so much fun with our summer activities! I think their favorite thing to do by far is be outside. They LOVE the pool and they LOVE playing outside! We've been so fortunate to have some nice weather the last week too! Everyone sleeps better after a day outside. :) Grandma and Grandpa have gotten their pool up and running at their new house so the boys have enjoyed that several times already...the water's pretty cold, but they don't care! :)
We have had lots of fun with family this summer. The kids have had fun meeting aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins on my mom's side. They've had a chance to see some of my dad's family again too. Now, we need to get up Minnesota and see Derek's side again!
We've started a countdown for Kai until he starts preschool--only 19 days! I still can't believe it's almost time. Kai is getting so excited and reminds Grayson daily that soon HE will be going to school and we will all be at home. :) I'm anxious to see what he thinks after his first day!
Derek's been busy caulking and painting the house. He's done a great job! His brother, Brandon, has come over to help a few days which has sped up the process and I think he likes the company too! We are doing new colors--browns. Appropriate, right? :) Nothing too crazy...the house is a khaki/tan color with cream trim and dark brown door and shutters. Will look SO much better compared to the bleh color it was originally! :)
I've been doing some redecorating inside the house. I think after being at home now I stare at it all day long and realized a lot was out of date. The new paint job outside is inspiring too! I've had Mom come over a few times and help me decorate too. It's been fun.
Leela has been getting all sorts of teeth! She's gotten her bottom and top two in the last month. I think she's working on more again too. It's a little rough, but let's just keep em coming in. The sooner they come in, the sooner it's over!!!! :) She's gotten pretty fast with her crawling and has become very brave with her pulling up and "scaling" along the couch. It's resulted in several injuries, but that's not stopping her! :)
