Crazy times!

Well, it's certainly always exciting and crazy around here. We've been busy preparing for baby girl's arrival. All three of the kid's rooms are pretty much done and ready-just some last minute changes and additions. Kai has decided that he's ready to sleep in his big boy bed permanently, so no more crib for him! :( I think I'm the only one that's a little sad about this---he's just growing up too fast! I'm still wondering what he'll do with his new "freedom", but so far he's been pretty good about staying in bed and sleeping. The first day was hilarious to secretly watch him though....he was touching everything, moving all around, looking out the window, etc. He was just so excited! :) We haven't had Grayson start sleeping in his new room (Kai's old room) yet. Thinking we will start with naps and then go from there. Not sure what he's going to do with all this. We've been working on converting over to one nap in the afternoon so I want to get that down pat before we do something else new. Always takes him a while to adjust. We've been talking about it lots so I'm hoping it starts to settle in. Poor guy's sleeping in a girls room and needs to get out! Haha!
Kai has started fall soccer. It's for 2 1/2 to 4 year olds with one of their parents there with them the entire time. Apparently this is the largest class they've had so far. They learn new "drills" and then practice them so they don't play each other yet. Kai LOVES it! He always knows how many goals he scored! :) Derek said it's funny and crazy. I guess there's a lot of kids crying because they don't want to run or do the drill or they fall down or they miss the ball. He said he's never heard so many parents say "Do you want to go home?" Haha! Grayson and I are going to check it out next week. Sounds like quite the sight! Kai looks so cute in his shirt that's about 2 sizes too big. We now have a soccer ball so we can practice what he learns at home. :)
Grayson seems to be interested in talking these days. He has a decent vocabulary, which makes us excited that maybe he won't be delayed with his speech or have concerns. We know Kai wasn't talking this much at his age, so we will see! :) His favorite words are "Dada" and "papa" (paci). I'm pretty sure he says them about 100 times a day!
I've been having fun subbing at my old school. It's neat seeing my old students and old coworkers! I've already had 4 jobs since school started!!!! It's also a nice break to get out of the house for me!
Kai went to his first Royals game this past week. He loved it to a point....then when it proceeded to be the longest game of the season, he was over it. He was all about finding Slugger and getting ice cream in a mini Royals hat.
I think that's about all around here. Thanks for reading!
