If you noticed the title of this blog, you might have wondered if we had a flood.....yep, sure did! Two weekends ago when we got TONS of rain I walk down to the basement to find about 2-3 inches of water!!!!! Ahhh! I of course freaked and called Mom and Dad at 7:00 in the morning! (Who else would be up at that time!?!) They came over and helped us and we spent about 13 hours cleaning up the mess! Who decided to not go through all of her school stuff this summer and left most of it sitting on the basement floor??? Yep, oops! Luckily, a lot of the boxes with books were on the couch so it was mainly files and teacher resources that got ruined. We have some furniture that got ruined too, but overall, it could have been a lot worse! Something happened with our sump pump and it didn't turn on causing all the water to come out. We think we have that problem under control now. We spent this past weekend bleaching, moving/cleaning things out and putting together another shelf. It's looking a lot better...just hard to do with little ones!!! I think after this week, we will be in much better shape!!!!
The boys are doing well. Grayson's started sweet potatoes and seems to really like them. He's working hard on sitting up and doing a decent job with it! He's been pushing up on his arms like he wants to crawl, but that's as far as he gets and then he relaxes his arms and goes back to playing. Kai continues to work on his vowel sounds. We have a few games that he likes so we're getting some learning in. :) He's going through an ice pack phase...likes them all the time including bedtime! I've resorted to wet washcloths and he seems to be ok with that. He likes one on each foot. Crazy kid!
Think that's about all....enjoy the pics! I must have taken most of them on Chiefs game days....seems to be lots of red!!!!!! Thanks for reading!
