Grayson's 6 months!

Wow! Where did the past three weeks go!?!??! I know...changing diapers, feeding babies/Kai, putting babies/Kai to sleep, playing, repeat, repeat, repeat! It's been a little crazy around here, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.  Easton seems to be adjusting pretty well...I don't think he still knows what to think about Kai, but can you blame him? He's not quite used to the crazy 2 year old act! :) Kai sure loves him though!  I thought I would go crazy being at home all day, but I try to have a few "outings" each week after Easton leaves. It's working out well!  I'm so glad that I made the decision to stay home....I'm loving it! I do miss school though---but I honestly feel like I'm still on maternity leave!

Grayson's continuing to change and grow. We had his 6 month appointment this week. He weighs 18 1/2 pounds. I think he MIGHT be starting to get the hang of the sleeping through the night thing. We've started giving him gas drops after most feedings and it seems to be working. He's only been waking up one or two times during the night, one of them being to feed. He's even starting waking up later and later to feed...like 5:00 or even 6:30 one morning!!!!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! :) Sometimes he's even able to put himself back to sleep if he wakes up in the night. We can do this!!!! He's rolling, rolling, rolling....not quite like Kai yet, but he's acting like he might follow in his footsteps! The other evening he rolled from the living room to the edge of the kitchen! He's doing this scooting backwards thing so I think he's wanting to move more. He sees Kai playing and get so excited-he wants to be a part of the fun!!!

Kai's doing well too. He's still talking like crazy...he's into singing a little now too. Quite entertaining! His speech goal right now is focusing on the vowel sounds and the materials I've been given to work on with him aren't catching his interest too well. I think he knows it's "learning stuff". I'm trying to get very creative finding ways to teach him without him knowing it...haha! I'm getting my school fix! Speaking of school, Kai has started "school centers" in the mornings. I've pulled out some of my school stuff and shown him how to do it--he's been playing with dominoes, magnets, reading Big Books, working on sounds with an alphabet strip, and of course his vowel turtle projects for speech. He loves it!

We are headed to Manhattan for a wedding this weekend. The reception is at a new hotel and it looks beautiful-can't wait to see it! This will be our first trip as a family of four...just picture it....two pack n plays, double stroller, goodness knows how many bags....the planner and listmaker in me is going crazy! Yes, quite a sight! I'm a candlelighter in the wedding so Derek will be on his own for a good portion of it beforehand...sure wish I could see all their "adventures"! Haha!

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pics! (Sorry, there aren't very many at all and none of Kai-he is a little challenging to let me take pics of him these days!)
I love my feet!!!!!

The babies checking each other out.....

The babies were color coordinated and even in "beach" shirts...totally didn't plan it!

Do you see some of Cari in this one? Maybe???
