The Brown's Buzz: 12 Weeks!

I've totally been slacking...sorry it's been a while! We cannot believe Kai will be 12 weeks on Wednesday. Man, does time fly! We feel like we're starting to learn his noises, cries and behaviors...perhaps we don't completely stick out as "new parents"?!?!?!? Haha! We are having so much fun! :) It seems as if Kai has discovered his feet......not quite sure what he's thinking but he sure stares at them a lot, especially when he's wiggling his little toes! We have started trying the swing again.....he doesn't scream bloody murder when he's in it now, but he only lasts about 15-20 minutes. We can't believe he doesn't like it more since he just loves to be moving around all the time....maybe he'll start to like it more soon! We're going to keep trying! He's been doing better and better with his tummy time...we're shocked how well he can pull his head up! We'll have to get a video of that soon! As far as napping...sometimes he takes a long afternoon nap and some days he takes a couple 30 minute ones...never know what we're going to get! He's still doing great at night....going to bed around 8:00 and waking up around 2:00 and then 6:00.......let's hope he keeps this up when I go back to work!!!
This week will be interesting for us all.....Derek starts his new shift on Monday....he now works M-F from 12:15 in the afternoon until 8:00 at night......so by the time he gets home we will be in bed :) but he now gets to spend the whole morning with him while I go to work.....yea, I have to go back on Wednesday :( Where did that time go??? I'm intersted to see what it's like working and being a Mom....thinking I'll be even more tired???? Luckily I'll only be there from 7:45ish-12:00ish. I'd much rather be at home with little boo-boo, but so feel fortunate that this situation has worked out for us! I'm also excited that Derek gets to spend so much time with him too....he's really only had the weekends with him since Kai's been born! Kai needs some Daddy time!
We cannot wait for this weekend....it's the K-State/Iowa State game and lots of the Chapman family is coming to town. Kai will get to meet more of the Chapman family and get to spend some time with his two other baby cousins, Mason and Paige! We are so excited! Lots of great pictures I'm sure!
