The Brown's Buzz: We have a sitter......

Little Miss Leela has been wanting to sit for a few weeks now. We've been working and working and finally today, she sat for more than just a minute or two!!!! :) She's so much happier upright (who wouldn't be???) and I'm also hoping this helps with her tummy troubles. We can't be on meds forever! Speaking of meds, I do think they are helping A LOT. She's only waking up two to three times a night. This is such an improvement that I will deal with this.....hopefully we can get her down to once or twice in a month. We started solids and I'm hoping that will help settle the milk a little more. She's tried sweet potatoes, apples and bananas so far. Funny thing is she likes the rice cereal the best. Maybe because I put milk in it? Who knows!
We've been a sick household the last week. It started with Leela and slowly moved to everyone else. Lots of coughing. Grayson and Kai would both get coughing "attacks" during the night. Not so fun.....just after I had cleaned the humidifiers and put away the winter stuff! We need consistent warm weather please!!!
This is my last week of daycare. I don't know that I've mentioned it yet, but I will be "closing doors" on the daycare business. My leave of absence from school was up this year and I had to make a decision to resign or go back. It makes the most sense to resign. I will go back some day, but not for a while. I do feel it's important to keep my name out there so I'm going to sub next year. I had so much fun being at my old school seeing old coworkers and students. It was easy and convenient and I could set my own hours. I'm hoping that I can keep pretty busy just at my old school, but I put lots of schools on my list. We'll see how that works out. I'm excited for a change. I think I need some time out of the house and around other adults too. It will also be good for the kids to have some time with Derek. I'll just sub on his days off.
Not too much news around here. Just anxious for summer so we can go out and about whenever we want. I'm ready for parks and lots of outdoor playtime! The pool opens Thursday. I'll be curious to see how many kids are there. It's gonna be VERY cold water!
