Jackie's Wedding!

What, two posts in one month??? No way! :) Lucky for you I have a quiet house right now so I have some time to myself!

Last weekend, we had our road trip to Texas. We left Saturday morning around 8:15 and somehow managed to get there by 5:00 that evening! We even had a few minutes to check in our room and get changed before the wedding! (The luxery of a small town....it takes 3 minutes to get everywhere!) The boys did really well down there. We only watched 2 shows (I was prepared to run the DVD player the entire time if needed!) and I didn't even use all my activities I made for the boys. Grayson took both his naps around his normal nap time (I was shocked!) and Kai took a little one in the afteroon too! I was relieved and proud at how well they did!

The wedding was very nice. It was in Kyle's backyard, which was beautiful. They did a lot of landscaping and work and it looked awesome! The decorations were so pretty--her colors were black and white. They had a large tent set up with the dinner tables with beautiful centerpieces and made their garage into a "kid zone" with toys and snacks---what a great idea! Jackie looked gorgeous and they were both so excited to be married. Her husband, Kyle, is a teacher, so he's already a keeper in my book! :) The kids had so much fun playing and dancing. Both boys had SO much fun dancing!!! I tried to take a pic, but it doesn't do justice! Kai was dancing crazy and spinning all around and Grayson was doing a little booty shake. It was cute. They had lots of fun.

The hotel stay was a different story. :) We stayed at a beautiful resort. I think that the boys were just so hyped up from the day that they had a hard time going to bed. It didn't take Grayson too long, but Mr. Kai just couldn't chill out. Was really fun being bed buddies with him. :) I could have predicted that would happen, so I wasn't counting on much sleep that night. He did finally crash, but felt it necessary to kick me all night long. :) Grayson randomly woke up in the middle of the night, but went right back to sleep. I think he was just confused. We had an early morning start, which Daddy was not used to! :) We were back on the road by 10:00. The trip home was a little more challenging, which we expected. It seemed to drag for all of us....everyone was tired! We did finally make it back in one piece that night, and I think the boys were very excited to be out of the car and able to walk around and play with toys again. Poor Grayson still had carseat marks on him Monday!!!! So, we stayed away from the car most of the week........

While it was A LOT of driving in 2 days, I'm so glad that we could work it out so that all of us could be a part of Jackie and Kyle's special day. Lots of memories for sure!

I've got a few pics from the wedding and a few from the K-State Open House in Olathe that Kai attended....Little Wildcat!!! Thanks for reading!
