The Brown's Buzz: Eleven Months!

So, I'm just a little late getting something on here about Grayson turning eleven months, but I knew I'd get to it some day. :) Thanks for your patience. I know some of you check it quite frequently and I defintely dropped the ball on updating this month!!!! Sorry! I still have a few days in January... :)
We've all been battling colds...of course as soon as one gets healthier, another one starts to get sick. I'm the last one to get it and I'm hoping it's not going to be as bad as Kai's. He had a fever of 102.5 for a day and half! It kicked him too--I've never seen him lay on the couch so long before! :) He really had a hard time sleeping at night so he and I spent a few nights sleeping on the couch together... oh wait, let me rephrase that...Kai slept while I "rested" halfway on the couch, halfway off. :) He's doing much better now. Derek and Grayson are in the middle of thiers...Grayson's also getting a tooth so some of it is that, but his hasn't been as bad as Kai's. Derek's been home sick from work for three days now. He took off last Wednesday to take Kai to the doctor and then has called in the last two. He's been taking multiple naps every day so I know he's really sick--one nap is rare, let alone two!!!!! I'll get better one of these days...since I'm still nursing there's nothing I can really take...I just need rest and fluids. Easier said than done! :) Ehh, I can't be sick forever!
Kai went to a Cinderella birthday party this past weekend. The girls were told to wear princess clothes and the boys could wear superhero or pirate clothes. So, of course, Kai went as Batman. Cinderella actually came the party and told a story--he wasn't too into that until she talked about finding the treasure and you had to go through a batcave first....that perked his interest a bit! :) I still think he's probably a little young for birthday parties, but he had fun playing with their toys and following the big boys around. It was good experience for him!
Grayson's still walking all over with his walker or anything he can push (chairs are a fav!). He's starting to do a little bit of standing in place for a second or two trying to reach out to something to hold onto so he's moving in the "walking on his own" direction. He's doing really well with sleeping at night (except the past few days of course!). He has a bottle around 7:30 and then usually sleeps until 6:30ish. :) Yay, we made it! I'm starting to get to a point where I don't need to try and nap every chance I get so I know I'm getting caught up on some sleep. Only took a nice long eleven months.....totally worth it though. :)
That's about all our excitement around here. I'm having fun planning Grayson's birthday party. It's going to be a farm theme. I'm really excited--I found some cute decorations online so I've been working on those. Derek's overalls from when he was a baby fit Grayson so he will get to wear those for the party! :)
