Halloween

Halloween was a hit for the Brown boys this year. Costumes got a lot of "wear" this year. Kai had his church Halloween party, then we went trick or treating at Nana and Papas, Grandma and Grandpas and then finally our neighborhood (just to 3 houses...this was all Mama could handle!) on Halloween night. It was a busy week! :)

Kai's been sick the past week. He's doing much better now..nothing too crazy..runny nose, slight fever and a little cough. The cough really only happened when he was sleeping. For several nights in a row he would wake up at 3:00am coughing.....luckily he went back to sleep, but it was crazy it was the same time every night!!! His speech is coming along too. He has a new speech teacher and she is really impressed. She thinks he will be able to "test out" within the next few weeks. She's actually my old colleague and the speech teacher at my old school and she's amazing! It's been fun to watch her in action--I always heard good things and knew she was good, but it's been fun getting to see her teach!

Kai had some excitement the other night. Derek called and said he was running a transfer patient in Gardner (just south of us a bit). He wanted to stop by and show Kai the "work truck". It was so cute to see Kai's face beaming as the ambulance came down our street with flashing lights!!! Then as soon as Derek and his partner got out, he was in shy mode and didn't know what to think-he just kept staring at the the truck and Derek!!! After a bit, Derek turned on the siren for a second...Kai felt pretty special. I noticed the neighbor boy came out to see what was going on....guess he thought there was a real emergency and wanted to see it firsthand!!! Needless to say, it was a special treat...Derek doesn't come out by us very often!!!

Grayson's keeping us busy. He's managed to figure out how to crawl onto the table, up a stair and into any tight quarters he can find....it certainly is a little harder to stay on top of him with an older brother and Easton here during the day taking some of my attention....he definitely likes exploring!!! He got his first tooth a few weeks ago and is acting like the second one is coming any day.....but I've been thinking that for the last week and it's still not here. I can see it through the gums and it feels like it's swollen.....guess we'll see! He's had a bit of a runny nose too....I think he caught a smaller version of Kai's cold! He's still doing pretty well with sleep at night-usually makes it until 5:00am now. I probably should stop talking about that though because every time I post something on the blog about his sleep, he does something different the next few nights. It's like he knows I'm talking about him.....:)

Well, enjoy the videos and pics. As you can tell, Grayson was in DESPERATE need of a haircut! Nana and Aunt Ashley helped cut both boys hair last night...Grayson screamed almost the entire time. :) He was sneezing this morning and I saw hair when I wiped him...if he hadn't been crying so much he might not have had all that up his nose!!!! Haha! I'll get some pics with his new "do" and post them soon.  Grayson looks so much older! Thanks for reading!

Playtime buddies (most of the time!)

Kai with his Superhero pumpkin--thanks Aunt Ashley and Uncle Kyle! (He even had a cape!)

Before he totally figured out how to crawl up there....

Kai has become VERY interested in cutting--he says "open, close, open, close" as he cuts!

Some of the neighborhood kids--take #1!

Take #???? Not sure if this was before or after Grayson completely rolled over and was stuck..haha!

The boys before we headed out to our 3 house trick or treating adventure! :)

Double trouble!

Nana took this one as he was walking up to their house..I thought it was adorable!!!
