Happy Spring! We are really enjoying this weather! Kai loves going for walks so we try to do it every day that we can! I can't wait to see him at the pool...I think he's going to LOVE it! Kai has learned how to wave hi/bye and he's started clapping. He's also starting to stand in place for a little bit and Derek was lucky enough to catch some video of that. He still needs a little support, but it won't be long before he can do it on his own! He's working on his 5th tooth this week so he's been a little fussy and sleeping more. Kai was 21 1/2 pounds last week at his surgery followup so we are going to switch into the new carseat this weekend! I can't believe it! Should make the school dropoff a little more interesting since we can't carry him around in the carrier anymore......think we'll use the stroller. He really just wants to get down and crawl around at school, but I won't let him.....I think about all those germs and it freaks me out. :)
His surgery follow-up went well and they were pleased with how things are healing. There was still a little fluid, but they said it should go away within a few weeks. There's a 20% chance that he could develop one on the other side, so let's hope that doesn't happen! We have his 9 month appointment (a little late!) next week. It will be interesting to see where he falls in height and weight.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the videos! He's become a real woodchuck these days...I got a gummi rail for the front of the crib, but now he's discovered the sides of the crib as you can see in the video.....little stinker!
he is adorable! Thank you for sharing him with us!
