It seems like Kai wants to roll over and he's so close.....every time he rolls on his side, I'm ready.... hoping he's going to roll over....but he's not quite there yet. He's been gripping onto things too--it's funny to watch him "play" with his toys......We've also noticed he's got a little red tint to his hair....wonder if he'll be a strawberry blonde????? He's so close to sleeping through the night...He goes to bed at 7ish and usually has been waking up at 3 or 4......I'll be anxious to see if the doctor says we can start rice cereal when we go for his appointment in November. I think he'll sleep through the night once he eats something else besides milk.
Next weekend is going to be Kai's first wedding!!!! I'm in the wedding so I'll be heading up to Omaha with the bride ("Auntie" Hergert) on Friday and Derek and Kai will come up on Saturday. This will be my first night away from Kai! :( I know he'll be just fine with Daddy...sure wish I could be a fly on the wall to see all of that excitement! :) I'll miss both of them so much!!! We're staying the night Saturday so this will also be Kai's first night away....hopefully he doesn't keep everyone in the hotel awake that night! :) I'm sure he'll be just fine...he's such a good baby! He's got a super cute outfit to wear to the wedding....white button up shirt, khakis, a sweater vest and his cute "boat" shoes from Aunt Ashley and Uncle Kyle. I'll be sure to post pics! :)
Kai's going to be a bee for Halloween. I can't wait to see him in his costume!!! I can't belive Halloween is in two weeks! We're planning on going "trick-or-treating" at both Grandma and Grandpa's houses. Derek thinks I'm a bit crazy, but who cares--Kai's going to look so cute in his costume and we'll get some candy! Haha! :) Don't worry, I'll get as many pictures as possible...cross your fingers he doesn't throw a fit in it!
