Welcome to the Brown's Buzz! I figured this would be the easiest way for everyone to see what's going on with us and be able to see new pictures of our precious little Kai as he changes and grows!
While this was quite a journey for us, God had a plan in store for us and Kai Jameson Brown arrived on June 23, 2010 at 2:47 p.m. We couldn't be more excited to finally meet our little miracle baby! We had been waiting for this day for so long and God blessed us with this precious beautiful boy! We just couldn't be happier!
Time is just flying! We had his one month appointment this morning and he's already 11 pounds and 22 inches long! He's no longer a little newborn baby! In fact, he's outgrown several of his cute little outfits already! He's just growing up so fast! He had his first shot since he was born and he barely even cried! We were proud!
This past weekend Kai was baptised. He did so well and didn't even fuss. He acutally slept through most of it! He looked so cute in his special baptism outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Warta. Be sure to check out the pictures! Kai is so lucky--lots of family and friends came to help celebrate this special day! His Godparents are Kathleen and Austin Wagner, who are both good friends of Cari's. Kathleen and Cari have been good friends since 7th grade and Austin and Cari have been friends since high school. Even though they live in Pennsylvania, Kathleen was in town and able to be a part of the ceremony! It was a very special day for Kai!
It still seems like he eats all the time...maybe that's why he's already 11 pounds! He's been doing really well with his sleeping. He usually take a few catnaps during the day with one long nap and then sleeps for most of the night--usually only waking up once or twice! Yay, Mom and Dad can get some sleep finally! :) Kai and I are having so much fun at home together, but he's always so excited to see Derek when he gets home from work. It's fun to watch them interact with each other. We are pretty sure Kai is going to be one strong boy--he has had quite the grip and kick for some time now and was pushing himself across our bed at 5 days old--now keep in mind he was kicking himself off Derek's hand so he had some help! :) Derek's hoping he'll be a football player of course!
That's all for now! I'll add more later! Thanks for reading! :)
Love, Cari, Derek and Kai
